Skin Needling – Pre-Treatment Information

Skin Needling is a highly effective treatment, but it may not be suitable for all skin types. To ensure your safety and the best possible results, we require all clients to attend a complimentary consultation prior to booking their treatment.

During your consultation, your therapist will assess your skin and develop a customised preparation plan tailored to your individual needs. Following this plan is essential to achieving optimal results.

How to Prepare for Your Skin Needling Treatment

​

2 Weeks Before Treatment

​

  • Avoid laser hair removal, waxing, depilatory creams, and IPL treatments on the face.

  • Do not undergo any cosmetic-grade peels.

  • Avoid cosmetic injectables.

  • Limit sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum SPF daily.

  • If you have medium to dark skin or are prone to hyperpigmentation, we recommend preparing your skin with a melanin inhibitor such as Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus Age Support Serum. This helps reduce the risk of post-treatment pigmentation.

1 Week Before Treatment

​

  • Discontinue the use of exfoliating products, including Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs, and other exfoliating acids.

  • Continue using a melanin inhibitor if you are prone to hyperpigmentation or have a skin type that produces melanin. This applies to all skin tones with pigmentation concerns.
